Don't Give Up!

It is too easy to get discouraged, disappointed and almost long to just give up on life. Day after day we might have more emotional, or physical, hurts that give us a deep sense of failure. It takes daily practice, year after year, to remember who is behind the turmoil in our lives. A person is causing the hurt, but we must keep in mind the one whose job is to destroy us, above all, hinder our relationship with God. The person is being used by satan. We can be hurt, get angry or scream. I have found only one way that we can overcome these very real hurts and forgive. We must pray for that one, even though he/she breaks our heart. Now for their sake but for our own. If we carry hate or bitterness toward anyone, this will affect our own walk with the Lord. Bitterness is a cancer that will eat us up! Be careful, don't allow your emotions to destroy you. The more you pray, the easier it will become, so that you can truly forgive that person, just as our Loving Father forgave you.

THE HURTING ARE EVERYWHERE!

Whether you are reading arrests reports or walking around a department store, you can find many who are presently suffering because someone wanted to prove he is the boss around here!. This one who wants to control those around him can be found in all walks of life. The lives that he touches turn black and blue; he is a small boy who has chosen his idea on how to be a "man". How sad! He knows nothing about being an adult who can cope with life, the personalities of others. He knows little of love and kindness. He chooses to force his supposed status on anyone who is meek enough to accept his 'role'.

She is a quiet peacekeeper who has learned that whatever she says causes things to get worse. She often says nothing, just trying to keep the peace. He takes this as a weakness and barges in. He knows nothing of the strength it takes not to speak up. She is often a strong woman, personality wise, but has given in too many times so he thinks he has 'the upper hand' and presses, or beats, his way into conquering this woman who he considers his punching bag. He usually has little else going for him. When SHE decides to have some backbone and speaks up for herself, he will have a different view of this one he is trying to control. She has to realize that she is a special person with many God-given abilities; she was not meant to be a doormat for a bully. That is all he is: an adult bully who often has little ambition. Then again, he might be a bully because of his status. He can be a big success in the public eye but a total failure at home. He will do anything to keep the public from knowing his faults, even beating up those he claims to love. Sad and sick.

The best decision of her life is to get out of there! He won't change, regardless of the times that he 'won't do it again.' He often gets worse as he gets older. SHE NEEDS TO STEP OUT IF FAITH   and realize that the best is yet to come There is more to living; reach for a forgotten dream; move forward and see a different and better future!
THE FUTURE CAN HOLD WONDERFUL ACCOMPLISHMENTS FOR YOU!!!

SLOWLY BUT SURELY

It takes time to get things right; one can't change everything overnight. Learn to be patient; you have waited this long for a better life, wait until the results of your efforts come together. Everything can't be just right this moment; give time an opportunity to get the results you want.
Before you make decisions, think long and hard about the possibilities from every angle. Consider what is best for you and your family. Every decision you make will affect not only your life but also any children you might have. Don't rush into anything, take your time in making your decision. Realize, however, that it is up to YOU to reach for that better life.
After you make a decision, stick with it. You have considered all aspects of your choice so go for it! You and your family CAN have a life that is more calm and peaceful without all the painful words and bruises and possibly worse. Look forward to the future instead of dreading tomorrow!

YOU CAN GET A NEW LIFE!

I know that life where you are living is miserable and you probably have no hope for the future. Please re-think that point; don't give up hope! All of us need hope, that something that makes us keep trying; we can't stop moving toward the future. No one else can do it for you; it all depends on YOU!  It is your decision to reach for a better future and once you decide, go all out for your goal. I am an example that it CAN happen! Put some iron in your backbone and hang in there!

MAKING DECISIONS

By this time in your life I am sure you have learned the importance of the decisions you will be making. All of us make rash decisions, often forgetting that the consequences will bounce right back at us. There is no way to get away from that so we need to be very careful in what we decide and how the results will affect us and our loved ones.
Wrong decisions can bring results that might last all our lives. I am number one at deciding something is right to do when actually it might be the last thing I should do. Age doesn't matter; we can decide the wrong thing at any time. All decisions, however, bring good or bad results. Everyone has had the moment of thinking, "Oh, if only I had not done that!" Hurts, but there is no way to avoid the pain we often bring on ourselves. As long as we are breathing we will be making mistakes.
The important thing is to recognise our mistakes, accept the results and go on from there. We can't stall and just stay at that point. Life is moving on and we have to do the same. Go on, face tomorrow's decisions and try to be more careful so that the results might be more pleasant and possibly bring gladness to our lives. We must learn to rely on God rather than ourselves. The greater our faith the less likely we are to do dumb things but we must accept the fact that we often bring these things on ourselves. God didn't and we can't blame others for our actions. Get up, dust yourself off and go on to the next event in your life. Remember that God loves us; His forgiveness is available and His mercy is great.

BELIEVING IN YOUR ABILITY

If you want to succeed at anything, you must first believe in your ability to do it! When you think you can't, you won't. If you believe you can, most often you will! I am still amazed at the years I wasted when I thought I was useless and unable to do anything right. It is scary how this can happen but I am sure that it happens to many. Remember, God gave each of us certain abilities; we can use these talents in our career, our hobby or our pleasure. You can do things that I can't do, just as I might be able to do certain things that you have no interest in doing.
I believe that our special talents involve the things we enjoy. I certainly don't spend a lot of time doing things I don't enjoy; what would be the point? We can do these thing in ways that might help others. I am certain of one thing: we need each other. Whoever says 'I don't need anyone' is not being honest with herself nor with others. My simple belief is that we are here to love and help one another.
Oh, yes! I have met many whose goal is to gain something at others' expense; there will always be these kind of people. The ones who are walking the right path are interested in helping others and they believe they can. When they choose a career, they believe they can succeed. Who would waste maybe years trying to do something they don't expect to do? You are reminded that God loves you and that makes you somebody special, one who can have a life worth living! Go for it! Each day is another opportunity!
